(May 3, 2021) - Southern Soccer Academy and Futbol Club Sudamerica today announce a strategic partnership. This partnership will allow both clubs to expand playing opportunities for boys and girls within both of the major youth soccer umbrellas, US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer.

FC Sudamerica and SSA are two youth soccer clubs that are based in the southeastern US. Both clubs currently compete in their local state leagues. SSA also completes at the regional and national levels. In addition, SSA owns USL 2 and WPSL franchises.

Simon Davey ,Executive Director of Southern Soccer Academy says, “We welcome FC Sudamerica into the SSA family. We are excited to expand our player pool and offer the highest level programs to a wider reach. We look forward to working alongside the staff/players and parents of FC Sudamerica to help grow the game.”

“At FC Sudamerica, we want to ensure competitive opportunities at all levels. It is our fundamental responsibility as a soccer organization to expand development opportunities for soccer players in our community. Working with similar organizations who share the same core values can make an important impact on players. This level of soccer collaboration is found in South America and Europe at a cultural level”, said Richard Ortega, Director of Coaching at FC Sudamerica. “Soccer organizations working together is not only a great step forward, but it will help youth players get closer to achieving their dreams. This is important to us”.

“One of our goals at FC Sudamerica is to ensure that every player has a clear pathway to the most competitive platforms. This partnership will not only expand resources to grow the game at the youth level, but also reveal to players and families that there is a clear pathway to any level of soccer they want to achieve”, said Rudi Pires, Director of Development at FC Sudamerica. “There is still too much division within youth soccer, with this partnership, we are able to come together and help bridge the disconnect between respective leagues and organizations”.

Founded in 2019, Futbol Club Sudamerica is an elite youth soccer club in North Georgia. FC Sudamerica offers Academy and Select soccer for boys and girls in the U9-U19 age groups. FC Sudamerica’s goal is to provide a comprehensive soccer experience for players who love the game and plan to compete at a high level.
