New MLS-Next Director Announced!
SSA is proud to announce that Roberto Sibaja has been selected as the new director for the club's MLS-Next program.
Roberto is a native of Alajuela, Costa Rica where he played in Liga Deportiva Alajuelense youth divisions for many years. In 2001, he was recruited for the U-20 Costa Rican National Team to compete in the World Cup in Argentina. He played collegiate soccer for Life University from 1999 to 2003, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition. Sibaja currently holds a Costa Rica Federation A License, USSF A License, and USSF Academy Director Course.
Roberto graduated with a Masters in Sports Health Science and Nutrition from Life University in 2009. He coached at various Metro Atlanta youth organizations, training teams and holding head coaching positions through 2007. In 2007, he began to work for Norcross Soccer Academy which then merged with United Futbol Academy (2014) where he worked as the club Technical Director. Also worked as the Technical Director for Georgia United (USSF Developmental Academy).
He was a Technical Director for the Developmental Academy as well as a Branch Director until 2019. Currently works for Orlando City Soccer Club as an Academy Head Coach and also served as the Head Coach for Orlando City B (USL) in 2019.

Roberto was the stand out candidate and we are delighted to have him lead the program, said Simon Davey ,SSA Executive Director.
