Southern Soccer Academy is excited to announce the transition of SSA Northside from a franchise location to join all our other locations as a full branch of SSA for the start of the 2019-2020 season! SSA Northside initially joined SSA as a franchise location in 2013 and is based out of the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia. SSA Northside is led by Director Clayton Schmitt, Academy Director Wesley Lutz, and Recreation Director Steven Hobart.

This past school year, the Northside branch had over 500 competitive players between the U8 and U19 levels, and fielded teams in the National Premier League (NPL) and the Southeastern Club Champions League (SCCL) in addition to Pre-Academy, Academy, and Select (Athena/Classic) teams. This school year, three players from SSA Northside U19 Select teams committed to play soccer at the college level starting next fall.  In addition to its directors, SSA Northside has a staff of nearly 30 coaches, 12 of which are current college coaches, 10 current high school coaches, 2 current Ga Soccer ODP staff, and 3 GA Soccer/United Soccer Coaches course instructors.

For the 2019-2020 season, SSA Northside will be offering the following programs: Pre-Academy/PDP (U8), Academy (U9-U12), Select Athena/Classic (U13-U19) and a Recreational program (U12 and U14). Additionally, SSA Northside will likely house teams at the NPL, SCCL, and SCCL-P levels in different age groups (to be finalized at tryouts). SSA Northside is offering a May Development Camp next week, May 20-24, and will start tryouts the two weeks afterwards (U8-U13 May 28-30/U14-U19 June 4-6).

SSA currently competes in the Boys Development Academy(DA),ECNL(through our strategic alliance with Concorde Fire Soccer Club) NPL, SCCL,SCCL Premier, Classic and  Athena leagues.
